I have analyzed different cleantech energy options, from Brazilian biofuel to tandem silicon solar cells. My conclusion is that solar technologies will supercede other cleantech options (biofuel, wind, etc), and organic solar cells could supercede silicon solar cells by 2050. For the full analysis, please read Organic_SolarCells-EHE.pdf
I wrote this paper for Dr. Aldo daRosa's "Energy processes" class.
